I was thrilled to see a bullfinch visit early one morning ❤️

I like using cups as bird feeders, they’re pretty and easy to clean. It gives the little birds somewhere to eat that the big birds can’t empty.

Starlings, the bully boys of the feeders, that’s the reputation but I’ve noticed they’re actually quite nervous birds. They just seem aggressive because they’re noisy and move fast, they always arrive mob handed, but it’s more of a safety in numbers thing than intimidation in my opinion.

I wanted to give the bigger birds somewhere to eat so they wouldn’t harass the smaller birds. I found an old broken strainer so just bent the handle and screwed it in. Turns out the little birds absolutely love it 😆
